Lesson One: Secession and Invasion (BOTB)

Secession swept the country like a wildfire, its fever sweeping all the way to the Mississippi and across Louisiana to Texas. The passions soon cooled, and the insurrection settled into an uneasy period of vigilance as the United States prepared fleets and armies to deal with its states in rebellion, and the Confederate States organized forces of their own to face the inevitable invasion.
